Anyone who wants to use their rooms well needs more than a booking overview. The statistics in Zeitwart answer the questions that come up in every space planning discussion: how heavily are the resources used? When are the peaks? And who is actually booking what?

Everything on one page, one shared filter

All the reports sit below one another on a single page and work from the same filter. You narrow things down once and every chart underneath shows the same slice. Filters that are set appear as chips and can be removed individually.

Filtering is by period, individual rooms, the role of the person booking, the booking status and the check-in status.

The key distinction: two views on units

Two filters look similar and answer completely different questions:

• resources from a unit – what happens in these rooms, no matter who books

• bookings from a unit – what this unit books, no matter where

For "is our building fully used?" the resource filter is the right one; for "how much does the department book?" the booking filter. Combined they answer "how much does department A book in our building?" – the question most internal recharging depends on.

Heatmap by weekday and hour

A matrix of weekdays and hours shows at a glance when demand arises. Two things typically become visible: the morning peaks, where too few rooms meet too many requests, and the edges of the day, where existing space stands empty. Together they usually point to an organisational problem rather than a building one.

Reports per room, unit and role

Alongside the metrics on utilisation, booking duration and number of bookings sit tables per resource, per organisational unit and per role. Rooms can therefore be compared directly and individual groups examined – how much students book compared with teaching staff, for instance.

The distribution of booking statuses completes the picture and, where check-in is switched on, the number of no-shows. Only together do these give an honest reading: a room can look fully booked on paper and still stand empty half the time.
